Nudibranchs of the South Pacific

Image of Chromodoris bullocki This species is part of the Chromodoris bullocki complex. It can be recognized by its brilliant purple body color, orange gills and rhinophores and diffuse white marginal band. It may reach and exceed 100 mm in length and is quite conspicuous when crawling about on living shallow water reefs. It was photographed in Milne Bay, Papua New Guinea.
